Keep the wheels moving! Edgehill Bike Club gives kids in Tennessee something positive to do to stay out of trouble and see the world around them in a new perspective – on a bike.
Terry Key lost everything in a flood back in 2010. He moved to Edgehill and decided he was going to be a force for good. (Right on, Terry!) After assessing his new neighborhood, he realized the kids in the area didn’t have any healthy, positive activities available to them. That’s when he started the Edgehill Bike Club and thankfully, he hasn’t looked back since.
So far, more than 100 kids are getting their ride on with new bikes—they’re even learning how to fix ’em up, ride safely, and stay healthy. The bikes are all donated, but locks, lights, helmets, and everyday maintenance isn’t. This is where the AWB grant comes in. It’ll be used towards all of that AND a safe place for storage.
